What Travelers Say

Had such a wonderful time on this tour! We were short for time and this covered everything and was super flexible to help us get through all the activities! Our tour guide Raed was excellent and super knowledgeable about where to go, what to do and had all the knowledge on what was worth it or not as well! Will definitely be recommending this to everyone ◡̈

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you really do Petra and the Dead Sea in one day?

Yes, and this tour is built for it — but it is a long day: the operator lists 6 to 14 hours. Petra is about three hours south of Amman, the Dead Sea is an hour west, and the route strings them together. You get a compressed Petra visit rather than a full one.

How much of Petra do I see?

Enough for the Siq and the Treasury, which is what most one-day visitors come for. If you want the Monastery, the High Place of Sacrifice or anything beyond the main colonnaded street, book Petra as its own day and take a separate Dead Sea trip.

Is the Dead Sea part a resort or a public beach?

A resort. Access to the beach and pools is included, along with a lunch buffet, so you get showers and somewhere to change after the salt.

Is it private?

Yes — private air-conditioned transport with a professional English-speaking driver, bottled water and Wi-Fi on board.

What should I wear?

Comfortable shoes with grip: Petra is several kilometres of uneven stone and sand. Bring sun protection — a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen — and your swimwear for the afternoon.
