I had a fantastic experience on this tour. In just one day, I managed to see so many fascinating historical places — from swimming in the Dead Sea and visiting the site where Jesus was baptized, to seeing the famous ancient mosaic map in the church in Madaba. Our driver, Hassan from Jordan Landmarks Tours, made the experience even better. Throughout the journey, he shared interesting stories about every place we visited, as well as about Jordan, its history and culture. The whole day was very well organized and never felt rushed. How long is the Dead Sea, Mount Nebo and Madaba tour?
The operator lists 4 to 10 hours, because the length depends on which option you book. The short version covers Madaba and Mount Nebo with a brief stop at the water; the full version adds the Baptism Site and several hours at a 5-star Dead Sea resort with lunch, and runs closer to 10 hours door to door from your Amman hotel.
Is entry to the Dead Sea resort included?
Only if you select that option at checkout. The base price covers private transport, an English-speaking driver, Wi-Fi and water. Entrance fees to the sites and the 5-star resort swim with lunch are separate upgrades — pick them on the booking form rather than paying at the gate.
Do I need to cover up at the religious sites?
Yes. Mount Nebo and the Baptism Site are working pilgrimage sites, and shoulders and knees should be covered at both. Wear your swimwear under your clothes so you do not have to change twice — the Dead Sea stop comes last on this itinerary.
Is a guide included?
No. This is a driver-led tour: your English-speaking driver takes you between the sites and explains the route, but a licensed site guide is listed under exclusions. There are guides for hire at Mount Nebo and the Baptism Site if you want one on the day.
Can I cancel?
Yes — free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour starts, for a full refund. That is worth having in high summer, when the Dead Sea basin is far hotter than Amman and an early start matters more than usual.
